![]() I've got a t-45 out of a '01 GT that i'm really needing to put in my '90 (only has engine at this point). On the bellhousing, it seems like a company could produce some sort of adapter to make it work. Now here is my question, i know i can get the plate that extends the tranny mount to work. He said it needed to be "jigged' to get the input shaft to line up correctly with the pilot bearing. ![]() At this point i was getting a little lost. Next, he said 1/2" of the t-45 bellhousing needs to be machined off, then 5.0 plate needs to be helicoiled to fit to that. I talked to Jeff Bordelon from Texas, who is suppose to be installing his first conversion kit on a 5.0 sometime this week.įrom talking to Jeff, he said a 3/16" metal plate would have to be welded to the crossmember to extend the transmission mount about 2.5" back. Ok, i've seen a few post from the past saying it's not possible to do, but i really need to find a way.
